Distinguished Environmental Professional Award
Eligibility & Criteria
The MEA Distinguished Environmental Professional Award was established by MEA Energy Association (MEA) in 2016 to recognize an individual who has made a significant contribution(s) in the environmental area, especially in the electric and gas utility sector.
- Eligibility
Current or former employee of an MEA member company who works in or with the environmental sector.
- Credentials
Nominee should have done one or more of the following; made a specific breakthrough (such as an environmental improvement or activity having a significant environmental impact) or achievement (such as a cooperative effort between industry, regulatory agencies, and/or local government) that has benefited the community of environmental professionals. Achievements must have impacted the environmental field, and have been verified and recognized by peers.
- Award Selection
The Distinguished Environmental Professional Award candidate will be considered and evaluated on the award application form and their resume and/or career highlights. The winner each year will be voted on and awarded by the MEA Environmental Committee. In the event that any company has more than one representative on the MEA Environmental Committee, they will vote together and the company will cast one vote.
All voting must occur from original submissions.
All nominations and winner(s) will be confidential.
Only one Distinguished Environmental Professional Award will be awarded per year.
